To the CHP Officer that pulled me over - Thanks for the warning

Was speeding down a country road east of Stockton ( Jack Tone Road) doing 65 in a 55. I saw the CHP officer blacked out on the side of the road and slowed to 60 mph. A minute later I saw him coming towards me rapidly and lit me up

    Here's what I did:

    Promptly pulled over
    Turned on my dome light
    rolled down both front windows

The officer approached me and told me that he clocked me at 65 mph and that is why I was being pulled over. I told him, "yes, I was speeding, he caught me red handed, and I will save the excuses"

The officer ran my license and registration and sent me on my way with a warning, he said "I'm out here trying to catch other people". I told him, " I really appreciate it, thanks".

Total time from being pulled over to being back on the road = <3 Minutes

    Here's what I didn't do:
    - roll down the window a quarter of the way and yell " I know my rights, am I being detained?"
    - start filming the incident
    - Make excuses, start crying, or tell him he should catch the real criminals

Cooperate, and you will get what you give

    Thanks for the warning

I normally do the same. Lights, windows and no extra motions till asked for I.e. paperwork. Except for admission of fault.

It has been my standing personal policy that if I make the stop and I get someone who does what you have done, I normally let them go unless there is something else going on like a deuce.

We get so many excuses, liars and accusers for just doing the damn job, its refreshing to get someone with integrity.

^^ I have always done this, and only ticketed 2x which I am fine with.

For a lot of people, personal accountability is a foreign concept.

          What's a deuce?

            DUI.

Jack Tone Road was much better before all the stop signs. There was a good crash out there at least once a week...

Let us know what happens next time you get pulled over. I'm betting not a warning.

Wait a minute, what do you mean pulled 3 of us over and gave all three of us tickets?
Were there three steering wheels in the car?

Happened to me once. Motorcycle cop pulled me over, told me to wait here and then went after someone else. Saw him stop that person and then chase someone else down.

                        I just left.

I've seen CHP pull over huge wagon-trains of cars. The biggest I've seen was about 8 on Interstate 15 between Stateline, NV and Baker, CA

This is what I used to do also. If the violation wasn't egregious and their mouth didn't get ahead of their brain, I'd just give them a verbal warning and tell them to have a nice day.
