I know the NFL issued a no off duty carry at games but anyone know what the security is like at Chargers stadium? Do they let you lock it up? Are there metal detectors or just a pat down?

I don't know about qualcom stadium but more than likely you will not be allowed to carry in the stadium unless you are apart of the local pd staffing the event & you have brother officers at the gate. I my area you can't carry at any of the sporting venue's and they make you leave it in the car.

Everyone gets wanded before going in, as well as bags checked. Not sure about any kind of gun lockers.

Just an FYI, I had to leave mine in the car at a recent game. Came out after the game to find out I no longer own it. Tons of cars burglarized during the game.

And that is why I never leave my gun in the car at a venue. I did once at Irvine at a concert and didn't know it wasn't permitted. This was over 20yrs. ago and I was still a leo. I worried about it the whole concert and decided I'd check first if it was allowed in the future and leave it at home if not. Your results have to really suck and I imagine you had some paperwork for your dept. to fill out.

Last I knew LEOs were allowed to carry inside Qualcomm had to enter threw Gate P I believe so other LEOs could check paperwork. and that was last season and a LEO at a gate just sent him over to different gate and was good to go. might call and check to be sure

Was there for the Bolts & Colts MNF game. They are stifflers for the non regulated NFL clear bags. They do do the wanding thing with PD right behind them.
