Fair is in LaVerne - Pomona PD and LASD provide extra security. I bet they'd love to have another legal gun on site. That place is a sewer.

The Fair is in fact in Pomona, not La Verne, tho the latter is nearby. This is where the former gun show used to be held, the Winternational races are held and where LASD has one of their EVOC driving schools.

I've been to the gun show and Fair numerous times and when employed, went thru our required training on our EVOC courses.

The nearby Brackett airport is basically next door in La Verne.

Never ran into an issue carrying there but I haven't been there in a year or two - not sure if procedures have changed...

Yea mostly i want to know what security looks like? If its just some guys checking bags then no problem but if theres metal detectors then i might have to do something else

Yes you're good to go. Let security know before you walk through the metal detectors. They then have an Officer verify your credentials. Went there a couple weeks ago and that's what happened.

We were there last night, metal detectors and hand wands. Bags were checked, I left it in my truck

I'm doing better, thanks. I still have some strong pain, but that is to be expected when having a knee replacement. This recovery has actually been more painful and difficult than any of my back surgeries. I know one thing; I will never get the other one done, tho I need to. If it gets that bad, I will get a motorized scooter.

BlkWgn, considering how heavy of a gang presence there is, you are lucky IMO, that your gun wasn't stolen. I was last there 15+yrs. ago and stopped due to the gang presence and concern for my family's safety. I can only imagine how much worse it has become. YMMV

Its just me n the wife and some adult friends. I wouldnt bring my kids. We take them to the OC fair

Yea I went to the fair and told security I was off duty. She instructed me to go talk to a Pomona officer, showed him my creds and I was gtg.
