We bought 100 interceptors and are very happy with them. All aspects except space is better than our old CVs. Better acceleration, braking, cornering and it just drives better. So far so good for us. We only bought the sedans but I am told we will be buying a few suv models as well.

I like old mid-90's Caprice. They were fast and comfortable, although Crown Victoria was driven at 135 MPH, and it was fine, also.

IMO turbos, especially twin turbos, on a cop car is asking for problems both in the way these kids drive these things these days and from a mechanical perspective.

I'd love to see how the new ppv measures up against the 94*96 9c1 in the real world.

The p71 was a distant second to the mid 90's 9c1i imagine its still that way.

Ernie, was that a brand new 72 Ford when you were a brand new deputy or was that just an old beat up radio car with a lot of miles when you hired on years later (after 1976).

If it is the former, you got me beat, but if the latter, then

I'd take the Tahoe when I had the choice. With those two since I haven't driven any of the new cars the Crown Vic wins.

Twin turbos - that ought to ease you back in your seat. I drove my brother's RX7-R2 with sequential turbos. Second turbo activated at 4K rpm. Talk about a white knuckle ride; closest thing I've experienced to a crotch rocket's power to weight ratio.

Yzernie is right. Turbos are considered consumables and heat kills 'em. For longevity, a supercharger would've been better.

We have the explorer puv. Overall I like it, some good, some bad. Coming from the crown Vic, totally different drive being all wheel drive and such. Great get up and go but top speed is lacking.
