    Springfield XD(S) Recall alert

Posting this as a heads up for fellow LEO's that may have bought an XD(S) .45 or .9MM as BUG's/Off Duty carry. I have one of each and know quite a few guys in my dept that have gotten them, so thought you guys might also find this helpful if you haven't heard about it.

Here is the link to the recall site:

    Stay safe,
    John
    John Mendiboure
    This is my shield.
I bare it before me into battle, but it is not my own.
It protects the brother on my left.
    It protects my city.
I will never let my brother out of its shadow, nor my city from its
    shelter.
I will die with my shield before me, facing the enemy.

I saw this yesterday and mine falls into the recall, I have called and emailed Springfield to ask what, exactly, is the problem, what parts are they going to replace, etc. But as of yet, I have not gotten a response.
    Anyone know?

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!
