    Normal, he will take a few days to recover.
    Also, brain surgery often causes the brain to "re-boot" and this may take a while.
    Don't be surprised if he has physical problems for several weeks or so (loss of speech, loss of motion coordination, sleeping a lot, etc), it will all come back in time.

                    Thanks guys for all the support, good thoughts and prayers! Looks like it is a pure germinoma and of all the cancers, this one responds to treatments the best. Children's Hospital has the case now and has priors with the treatment.

                    Great news is the pain has subsided and they've let him go home! The hemo/onc team will come up with a treatment plan and then we'll be commuting up to LA for radiation.
