Thank you note for ride along

So I went on a ride along two months ago and I had a blast!! I know it's been a while, but I still want to send a thank you note/letter. What's the best way to go about doing this? Should I send one to the officer as well as his sergeant? I'm thinking about writing a letter on the computer and putting it with a card..

Uh....I'm gonna have to say no. It wasn't a date. If you said thanks afterwards, your good to go.

As a human, who likes to be treated with respect, I'd say fire it up!

ANY positive interaction with the community has got to be better than 90% of what a cop puts up with all day every day.

You can never, ever go wrong with politeness even in Berkley they say thanks if you hold a door open for a lady.

Send it to the Chief. It will trickle down.

Send it to the Sheriff or HMFIC and it will get to the officer/ deputy and prolly go in his file. If you really want it to be noticed, put it in a shoe box with wires sticking out of it, wrap it in duckt tape and leave it by the dept front door.

This. Also request that it be placed in his file. "Atta boys" can always help offset a future PLE. Don't ask how I know this

I ended up sending one to the officer himself, and then a letter to the chief. Thanks for the feedback!
