    Police Academy

I'm planning to put myself through police academy after I'm done with college. I was wondering where can I could find more information on police academy in the Bay Area?

It depends on where you want to go really. There are at least 4 run by community colleges in the Bay Area, South Bay Regional runs one at CSM, and one at Evergreen. Contra Costa runs one out of LMC, but it is no longer on the college campus. Alameda's is through Las Positas College near Santa Rita. I'm not sure if Napa is still running or not. This does not include OPD's or SFPD's academies. Check Ca.post.gov there should be a list on the site somewhere, then narrow it down to where you want to go, but keep your options open first choice may not happen for one reason or another.

Napa still has theirs. Santa Rosa has theirs too.

There are three academies in the Sacramento area (SPD, SSD, and Yuba), not including CHP.

A map representing academies that present POST-certified basic law enforcement training.
