    Armed drug dealing felon

    I'm in need of advise.
What can I do about a known felon living with his mother who works.
And he deals the white stuff.
Mother says she is scared of him and that he is armed.
Who can I talk to or go to about this problem.
    Unincorporated area Nor-Cal.
    This is no joke.

The sheriff stopped by today while I was at the range. I couldn't even get my car (or range bag) in the house.
The bomb squad just left. I guess there was unknown chemicals that raised some eyebrows and fake pipe b***s.
He played it like he was having a heart attack so he wouldn't have to go directly to jail.
Mom called over a domestic violence, and said he had guns. They found live ammo, giving them PC for the Search Warrant.
Going through the rest house and out buildings now.

    Call the police.
Never initiate force against another. That should be the underlying principle of your life. But should someone do violence to you, retaliate without hesitation, without reservation, without quarter, until you are sure that he will never wish to harm - or never be capable of harming - you or yours again.

call the cops, set up a sting, and BAM. then get a restraining order, because depending on his strikes, he may be back out in less than a year

I think the mother would rather get a restraining order first, rather than gun down her son a soon as he walks in the door

Call and ask to speak with someone from narcotics.

I know anyone in LE are not going to put more then vague statements on a open forum.
I also have to think of my family and property.
If any LE Officers has anything more then call the Sheriff. A PM would be great.
The traffic in and out is getting ridiculous.
So are the single shot wake up calls at 2:00 am.

Don't just call the sheriff. Go down to the station and talk with someone or atleast call to make an appointment. The latter being better. Explain to them what you just explained to us and let them handle it. Be mindful that only so much may be done due to various laws and regs. Also cooperation from various parties may be a factor.

I would call and make a appointment to speak with a member of the Narcotic Enforcement Team of that County or area. Narcotic Enforcement Teams deal with this all the time. They are better and more experienced with keeping your name confidential as the investigate cases.

Since you have mostly second hand information, a case will still have to be made on this guy before they can move forward.

Worse thing in the world is going to a law enforcement agency and giving them information / tips only to find out later that you name was used in a police report or even mentioned when dealing with the suspect.

And no one living will bail him out. Bummer.
