    X26 Serpa Holster

    Hey guys,

I recently purchased a x26 and Serpa holster and noticed that every 1/20 or so draws the cartridge falls off of the taser. It is if the release tabs on the cartridge are being pulled by the holster somehow. Has anyone else experienced this?

No, but geez how often are you drawing your tazer?

Does this happen with other cartridges? Or just the one. We carry the X2 so can't help on the holster, but nobody said anything at the Taser instructor course last year.

A few times a night but I have been trying to replicate/diagnose the problem and have been repeatedly drawing at home and what not.

          With other cartridges also.

where are you wearing it on your belt? I saw my old department rangemaster working with one of the new kids who was having a similar problem. He was wearing it cross draw at about an 11:30 position on his belt. After videoing the draw and watching it in slow motion. It looked he was twisting the taser just slightly and it would cause the cartridge to catch once and a while. Try setting up a video camera and tape your draw a few times, then watch it to see if you are doing anything to help cause the problem.

Bare minimum of once per shift, since you should be spark testing it before EVERY shift.

I am wearing it at 1230 crossdraw (left handed draw) so I bet this is exactly what is happening to me also. Thanks.

No issues here. I use the X26 with no issues and with the factory Bladetech holster, which I prefer over the Serpa.
