    SDPD Firearm Storage

I was wondering if SDPD had a service for the people who wanted to store their firearms in the Police Department Armory for storage, if they didn't want to be victims of a break-in while they were out on vacation. All replies would be very helpful and a thanks in advance.

You don't have a RSC/safe that's bolted into the ground? You could even put trigger locks on there for added protection.

Are you still in the service? Your base's armory could be able to accept you weapon for safe keeping. My GF's guns were deposited to her camp's armory before she got deploy to Afghanistan.

Once the Police inventoried all your weapons, they will keep all the info and its another way of registering... Will be good for the police

I don't think any agency offers a service like that. If they did you might not ever get them back.

So, I'll toss out some real-world experience rather than the anti-government rhetoric. When I went to Sac State University, the campus PD had this program. I could sign it in and out at anytime, as long as there was armory space. It was for those of us dorm students who owned firearms. Never had a problem.

              +1

At MCAS (H) New River you could check in your firearms at one time.

In 2013 I have no ideal of anyone doing a storage service
