San Berdoo is broke and down about 70 officers in a high crime area… So whoever gets the job is going to be busy.

City is going bankrupt & many San berdoo cops have seen what's coming and have moved on to other departments. I would not recommend laterals to apply but if you are preservice and can't find a job it would give you some "exposure" you will never forget lol...

Definitely up there with Oakland and others as one of the craziest cities in the state to work as a cop.

I have worked with (not for) SBPD for around five years. All of the officers I have come across are a lot of fun to work with. Seems they are always high in spirits and like to take care of business. However, like ls2 stated that is a very busy department. Expect to come on shift with dozens of pending calls and expect to leave with dozens of pending calls. If you need a foot in the door this would be a good one.
