just wanted to ask fellow deps or officers if any of you carry the M&P9 full size for edc? I know they're great guns for range/duty/training and so on. I can't decide. Anyways... any advice is appreciated

i dont see why not. i carry a gen 4 glock 17 off duty with only a t shirt to cover. and it hides pretty well.

i use the comptac minotaur iwb holster. it sits at 4 o'clock position. it will print if i sit down in a chair. but i tend to sit with my gun to the back of the chair. so no one sees it. also i find that dark colored t shirts conceal much easier. obscures the shape of the handle alot better.

It would probably work with a good holster. My duty gun is a M&P 9. I do not carry it off duty because I don't like taking the light off. The M&P9 compact is a better choice for off duty. I alternate between that or a LCR when it is really hot.

It all depends on how big of a person (body size) you are and the type of clothing you wear.

I am 5'10, 180, medium built, wear mostly jeans and button shirts, I am leaning towards the full size, if my buddy can carry that 92fs daily... I should too

You should be able to carry a full size assuming you wear the right holster.

Thats true too, I just want to be as familiar and shoot best with that platform, the LCR is nice.

I carry one at either 4:00 in a custom kydex, or appendix with a HSP holster. Appendix get uncomfortable depending on how you sit....

You should be fine I carried a g22 for over a year in a owb custom lured holster on my primary hip. That was 24/7 in pants or shorts ,mall or beach. Dress loose but not baggy unless that's how you roll. Lol

Yeah I decided to carry the full size and its still comfortable around the waist, it prints a bit with a t-shirt or polo (the grip) but disappears with a button shirt! Btw I carry mine at the 3:00 position
