    question

hey so yesterday my friend and i were driving to a restaurant in daly city when a black and white ended up behind me in traffic. my friend and i got to talking and i joked how funny it'd be if i revved my engine while he was behind me at a stoplight. then we got to wondering if there was an actual PC against this.
now i obviously didnt do it as i was just joking, but i wonder if someone did, is it cause for a stop? perhaps for a minor fix-it ticket for something and a perusal of the vehicle for more minor tickets? is there an actual PC for this situation?

Probably not a PC, maybe not even a VC BUT you're gonna attract yourself attention. You could be pulled over to check the condition of you, your car, and/or your exhaust.

I am not aware of a VC that would be violated by simply revving your car's engine off the top of my head. But that is certainly a great way to attract attention and get pulled over for all sorts of other things like: modified exhaust, illegally modified lights, non-working lights, no front plate, no rear plate, illegal lane change, exhibition of speed, reckless driving, etc.

Agreed, remember the VC is about four inches thick!

When I was a newbie in the streets, I had an experienced traffic deputy tell me that he could find a vc section to write a brand new car sitting in the show room floor. I didn't know if that was true, but it sounded impressive.

Possibly the exhibition of speed CVC could apply.
