The video is graphic and my initial inclination was to delete it. Since this is the leo forum tho and there are newer leos here, plus those either in an academy or attempting to become a leo, I am leaving it for learning purposes.

A leo was shot and thankfully none were killed. Well wishes to the injured officer. A true warrior. Stayed in the gunfight eventhough injured...
Walked up to a call of a family disturbance, while passing several cars without clearing them. Cars were all empty, but my TO was not happy. Needless to say, it never happened again.

I didn't realize you were perfect and never made any mistakes. Are you familiar with "tunnel vision?" Are you even an LEO, or just an "awesome dude" who does everything right?
If you were an LEO, you would be familiar with the concept of "I don't know. I wasn't there." We don't judge our brothers and sisters from a couple of minutes of a stationary camera. I can't see, smell, hear, or feel what's going on off camera.

If S/2 had been in the doorway as LEO/1 was approaching, that might have caused LEO/1 to focus on him. I just don't know how they missed S/1, especially since LEO/1 was right around the corner of the driveway and LEO/2 was in the white car parked across the street...

I commented in the other thread so I'll comment here too.. Doesn't it seem like the one officer who heard the car door open, has trouble getting his side arm out of his holster? Seems to fumble and it allows the gunman to get off a round or two..
Also .. Someone had mentioned that the bad guys thought they were being robbed..
and isn't that some almost perfect timing? Guy gets into car and moments later the police pull up..NRA Member
