FYI, DO NOT WEAR ANYTHING POLICE RELATED. A Riverside street gang has put out a green light on officers. The direction to the gang is to use "moments of opportunity." Last week a CDC officer was off duty wearing his uniform pants and getting gas in Colton when he was approached by Riverside gang members who shot him in the face. Our officers located the suspects and they were taken into custody after a pursuit. The green light has been confirmed through both informants and other intell. The reason is not known as of yet and it is not known if it is being directed through the prisons or the street gang itself. Gang members have also obtained the name and home address of one of our officers. This info has also been verified through informants and intell. Also two weeks ago Fontana recruits were at the Inland Uniform Center in Riverside and were followed away by a vehicle. The recruits saw this and pulled into a gas station. The vehicle pulled in behind them and the occupants of the vehicle pulled a handgun on the recruits calling them ****ing pigs. Follow up on this identified one of the suspects as a patched Vago from San Bernardino. He was taken into custody and has been released pending his court hearing. The only weapon recovered was a BB gun.
