    Appearance Date for Citations

    Hey guys,

Just wondering what's the easiest way to calculate an appearance date for a citation. I've heard of a cell phone app that can calculate 30 days including weekends, 30 days not including weekends etc but I haven't had much luck finding it. I think it was for an iphone and I'm using a android so that might not work.

Are there any other tips that you can suggest other than manually counting the days off of a calendar and writing it down in the notebook before going 10-8?

Our courts always assigned certain dates, which the Watch Seputy put on our in-service roster.

In the "old days" I used to look at a calender and count off 21 days and then picked any Tues. Wed. or Thur. after that.

We have a court calender list that is given out with all the dates on it months in advance

I still do this, except it's more of a "turn three or four months worth of pages ahead of whatever month it is, then pick a Tues/Wed/Thur after that"

We have them all calculated out at the beginning of the year, sorry to be of no help.

On my "Monday" I would calculate and write down a date that worked for that workweek. Don't get too dependent on electronic gadgets.

My "Cheat Sheet" has a Court calendar. Every Monday I would circle the appropriate court date that I was going to use for that week.

Calculator to add days to a date or subtract days from a date. Calculate a calendar date given how many days or business days into the future or the past.
