Which section of the PC defines LEO's...

...Federal LEO's, and what they can/can't posses in regards to AR's, off roster hand guns, and high capacity magazines?

There are several posts that touch on different aspects of what LEO's can do that ordinary civilians can't. I just can't seem to get them all straight and in one pile.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Simplest place to start is PC 830 and subsections. Feds are an entirely different story

By the way, you have to verify if your department will allow you to carry it on duty or not. Some police departments have strict rules regarding what they can own/posses. Plus, you also need a letter from the BOSSES in order to possess high power rifles with some agencies. Some FFLs stores WILL NOT sell you one unless you get the okay from the higher ups.

Federal LEO's are under PC830.8 if I recall and they are not CA LEO's and DOJ's latest is that they can't buy off roster guns but can buy high caps.
            I like guns
