Santa Cruz PD Memorial Services Today

Incredible amount of people at San Jose HP Pavilion to say goodbye, as there is no place in Santa Cruz to hold 20,000 plus visitors.
The huge procession going "over the hill" from the beach to San Jose was impressive. There was another long procession from those arriving via 101 from Monterey, too.
There is a firetruck ladder bridge with the American flag suspended that the procession will pass under. It's a awesome outpouring of love and support from our community, as well as from all those coming from across the state.
A poem will be read by Officer Baker's daughter.
The service is starts at noon.
There are Monterey LEO as well as out of town fire and emergency agencies covering here in Santa Cruz.
Thank you for serving Santa Cruz, Butch Baker and Liz Butler. God bless you both.

As a Correctional Officer of the Santa Cruz Sheriff's Office attending today, I just want to say thank you for all those officers, fire personnel, and civilians who came out to show support for these fallen officers today. Also to those who have kept the family in their thoughts and prayers. Thank you

I was amazed at the outpour in support of my home town PD. Both officers will be missed.
      Guns, and stuff.
