    Any LEO willing to help?

Hello, I am a student at Moorpark College and in my acting class I am playing a scene the security guard at a run down hotel named Jeff. The play is called Lobby Hero. Long story short our performance is going well, but I don't have any props side from the button up business shirt, a tie and the shoes that would fit my characters wardrobe. Only thing I am missing right now is a security guard jacket. The next day we do our scene is Wednesday and I was wondering if anyone knows a prop store, surplus store, somewhere or someone that is willing to sell a security guard jacket for cheap. If not does anyone know a way to make a pilots jackets look like a security guard jacket if its color is tan?

Any uniform store will have the security jacket. There are a few in LA area. Google probably can help you..

Go to Galls Los Angeles and you can buy one off the rack for 40 bucks. Here is the link to the bargain basement standard security jacket. They may have windbreakers as well that are about 20 bucks and you can buy a security badge and sews it on yourself. Good luck in your show

I have seen quite a few security staff in old hotels simply wearing slacks, a button down shirt and a blazer with a generic security patch sewn on the chest.

Thats what I am going for. I have combat boots and jeans might be able to cut it if I dont have the slacks, the button up shirt and blazer are what I am missing.

Go to any of the stores mentioned above, get a gaudy "security" patch. Then go to goodwill or similar. You should be able to find a sport coat for less than $20, and just about anything else you may need to complete the "look" for cheap. I learned that when I used to help the local high school drama class with set building.

If you are close to Brea in OC send me a tell. I can see if i can find a quartermaster and galls jacket sample for you.
