Things I would have done differently -
1. Taken the shortcuts I passed up because I wanted to follow the path everyone else did.
2. Not derived as much pleasure in pointing out supervisor's errors in logic and reasoning, I should have just let the failures speak for themselves.
3. Gotten my college degree sooner to access the educational incentives
4. Maxed out my donations into Deferred Comp sooner...because the journey is the worthier part...The Shepherd's TaleComment

My 30 years were all I thought it would be...sure, some rough spots, but very rewarding!
Different? Worked harder at becoming fluent in Spanish...Comment

Rewarding, but with more pitfalls and disappointments than I could have imagined, but nothing that would make me regret going into it in the first place. If I can do it all over again, I would have done it earlier and done some things a little different from the get go so I would end up in a different place.I like guns

The only times I haven't enjoyed it are when there was internal drama. I expect the bad guys to treat us like crap. But when coworkers (or worse - management) create internal problems, I was unhappy.
Agreed on saving up and getting out. I will be out on my 50th B-day; hell or highwater. Bought 3.5 years ARC and socking money away in deferred comp too.Comment
