How much ammo in your ride?

How much ammo does the average police officer carry with them in their squad car?

    Shotgun?

    AR15?

    Handgun ammo?

    OPSEC question, sorry.

About a million rounds. Give or take.

We don't use guns and ammo anymore. Just verbal judo and pillow fights.

I saw a budget years ago that said 120 rounds per officer in the field. That was back before they were carrying AR-15's though. Don't think I'll get anyone killed by sharing that info.

Do LE still use pepperball guns anymore? Or has that phased out in favor of Taser systems like the X-26?

My agency doesn't use our pepperball system much anymore, and I'm totally fine with that. I think there are much better alternatives to almost any potential use of force scenario..

As for how much ammo I carry, hopefully enough to get the job done.

pretty easy to find out through some easy google fu. you can fine tune to the area you want to know about, or just go to a national avg. It might be OPSEC but it's still reported up the chain til it hits a desk that bundles it up into nice pdf's on publicly accessible databases.

not going to give info on how to find it outside of google, it's not the kind of info that does anyone any good to know.
