    SDSD 11-99

Today, I was sitting at home, when I heard helicopters flying over and sirens. I went for a drive to get gas and saw Police and Sheriff's everywhere. Turns out a troubled kid who is known in the area stole a car belonging to his mother and deputies made contact with him. He shot two of them, and they're expected to survive.

The police presence was overwhelming. They had multiple agencies and fire show up, everybody did a great job. Several people I know, knew this kid from elementary school some of them contemplated calling him to turn himself and surrender.

Last I heard unconfirmed he killed himself, after taking his mother hostage. It's still ongoing right now as a matter of fact.

Crazy day to say the least!

This kid in particular had issues with drugs, he was always in trouble in some form or shape. My friends who live on that street are stunned, everybody just knew it was him before it was confirmed. " I bet it was him" sure enough it was..

the problem is these cowards can't do it by themselves... they have to take others with them.

If the freaking media would understand that point and stop glorifying their stupid actions we wouldn't have so many damn copycats

I'd prefer to see them get the help they need. Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem.

Glad the deputies are going to be OK.

The deputies are doing fine. One suffered a leg wound, the other had a grazing wound on his head. Looks like they'll be fine.

This kid was known to have issues, nobody was shocked when they found out it was him.
