Just wanted to see what you guys thought about the AG's opinion on retired or separated Officers surrendering their legally owned and paid for "AWs". See attached links.

I don't care what Moonbeam said about the issue as his parting gift to LE before he became governor. It's his OPINION. That's it. Nothing more. No court in the state or federal arena has addressed it and they better think hard about depriving property and due process if they do.

It's incredible that this is California's position;

At the time of your retirement, the politicians believe that every violator, you've ever arrested, will lose his/her memory and will never, ever attempt to hurt you or your family.

They also forgot to add into their legal opinion that; You are now guaranteed, by the Opinion of the State, that the State will now be required to have a 24/7 protection detain assigned to you in lieu possession of an AW.
