It is not the word, it is a fact. All the CHP up here in Sacramento already have them in their cars. I was looking into purchasing one through the Sig officer program for a personal AR, so one of the CHP guys let me take a look at his. Nice guns, ambidextrious features stock from factory. Not a bad gun for the price. Plus it is a Sig so you know it's going to be a gluten for punishment!

Thanks. Yeah, my best buddy works there as well and he confirmed it at the time I posted the OP. We also ordered some M400s through the officer program and they should be in soon.

Aren't Mil branches and LE Agencies exempt from NFA rules?

No, civilian LE agencies are not exempt from NFA requirements. The paper work still has to go in to ATF for any NFA weapon. The only difference is that there is no charge to LE agencies, and the approval comes back a bit faster.

I think we know by now that SIG wants into the CHP and California market really bad. May have sold the rifles at or below costs.
