Hi, I just recently applied to the alameda county sheriff department and my application was accepted. I was invited to the first round of testing which was the PELLETB exam I believe. Next up (if I move on to the next stage) is the physical agility exam and after that is the oral boards/interviews. Any LEOs have any tips for me? Being in law enforcement is always what I've wanted to do! Thanks.

Be very careful to fully disclose everything in your background. Failure to disclose even minor items, like not listing a temporary job can result is disqualification.

x2 about minor background items. My nephew was told he was laid off. When they did the background the employer told them he was fired.

Make sure you're in good with your neighbors. I think they will even contact your neighbors.
