    LEO input requested.

I would like to know if any of the LEO here would read this thread, http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...d.php?t=657719 and share your opinions in it. You are the people that have real word experience on the topic, and I think your input would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

Comments belong in the other thread. I'm sure some LE members will chime in sooner or later.

Yes, please comment in the thread that I gave you a link to. Not in this thread. I also forgot, stay safe out there, and happy holidays.

Not going to touch that, don't feel like getting dogpiled.
I'm retired. That's right, retired. I don't want to hear about the cop who stopped you today or how you didn't think you should get a ticket. That just makes me grumpy!

There's been enough on that thread, but I will say that unless you've worked as a SRO in some of the rougher schools and seen what it's like inside, you shouldn't really talk about arming people whose first priority is not being armed.

There are some high schools which are basically little prisons with gangs that roam around during the breaks and lunches just like you see in the yards. Some middle schoolers now are getting very big in size as well, with all the maturity of a kid that age too.

If they wanted to take a gun off a teacher for whatever purpose, you now got a gun loose in school. Even at the elementary level, how hard would it be to have a few kids pile on a teacher and one to grab the gun?

Not saying one way or another but there are other issues at play here which need to be thought through.
