    transporting firearms to the range

I go to my local range couple of times a month. Does the LEO know that I have handguns registered to me when they run my plate or drivers license? It hasn't happened yet but if I were to get pulled over for speeding, a broken tail light, or whatever, am I expected to tell the LEO that I have firearms in my trunk?

Does not come up on traffic stop. Now if they decide to dig deeper they can run check in system for guns. Good reason not to have a bunch of gun bumper stickers on your car.

If stored legally, why say anything? It's just a traffic tickit. Telling them about guns in the car could escalate it to search and wasted time. Unless asked directly about any guns in the car I'm keeping my mouth shut.
