    CO I

    I will be taking the written for Correctional Deputy I in Sonoma County. Are there any age limits? any advice?

    Where? I imagine if you're testing you meet age requirements.

      I don't see a req posted on the county web site for Corrections Officers, so perhaps they are running a test for people who've had interest cards in or applied in the past. The only things I see open for applications right now is extra help bailiffs (which requires a POST Basic Certificate and at least one year of recent experience as a peace officer), Sheriff's Paramedic extra help (which is helicopter crew and non-sworn) and an extra help crew supervisor at Probation Camp.

      There's not a maximum age limit that I am aware of, generally those are discriminatory and aren't done any longer. Minimum is 21 at time of appointment. High school or GED, valid driver's license, able to pass background and medical, etc. etc.
