    I made it!

Words cannot accruately describe how i feel right now.

I was offered a posittion this week and it was finally made formal today. I start the academy September 9th. This has been a dream/personal goal of mine for the past eight years and i feel like a tremendious weight has been lifted off my shoulders. Im looking forward to giving it my all (and then some) for the academy and the job.

I cant wait to get started and be apart of the team. Just wanted to say thank you to all here for the advice and guidance throughout the years.

Thanks for the kind words guys. I was hired with Montana Dept of Transportation LEO. Im from there and looking forward to going home. That state is hiring like crazy for social work, LEO, fire, probation, and corrections jobs. Lots of oil money up there right now and that also brings lots of problems.

It was a long hiring process that took several months to get through. They really dot the i's and cross the t's up there.

A job in law enforcement and a ticket out of California. Could it get any more awesome?

Just consider the academy an opportunity to get paid to be put in the best shape of your life. Don't sweat any yelling and drama because you are getting paid to get yelled at!!

Smile every day no matter what!!!

                              Congrats!

But most important, keep in mind that this is the beginning of a long road. I've seen recruits drop out after their orientation night meeting before academy, drop out after first day at academy, and be dismissed for low scores. Keep studying, and keep your head down.
