The lead officer/unit in the chase the tone of his voice is what got to me on the radio.

My vehicle/foot pursuits and Code 3 driving are memories that I will always have. Good times.

The sense of urgency in his voice was chilling

They live for the opportunity to be called to duty to protect the innocent. The sheepdog has fangs and the propensity for violence but hopes that he will not have to resort to it. However, he lives for that day when he will be able to use his warrior skills and mindset to keep the wolf from harming the sheep."

Wow, Im not even an LEO yet (soon hopefully lol) and that gave me the chills. Just hearing his voice makes you want to haul *** to assist him, you never know whats going to happen next.

No matter how close or how far it always feels like we can never get there fast enough when one of our own needs us.

              Good vid, very informative.

It does, but of course, you have to ensure you get there, so driving carefully and slowly thru the intersections like the officer in the video did, is paramount. If you crash because of your driving, you never get to the loc and now units will have to come to your rescue.

In a different vein, It brought back some memories and I have to admit after being 9yrs. retired and 15yrs. out of patrol, I miss that part of the job.

Good video. Found myself wanting to help him clear intersections as he was rolling up to them. Clear right! Clear right!.

Props to the LAPD dispatchers, their speed at relaying information is alot faster dialogue than down here in San Diego. They are truly some of the best !

Hours of monotony and paper work.

Seconds of thrill, terror, and pure adrenalin. Usually when you least expect it.

                        Yeah, that's patrol for ya.
