    Question for a LEO

    Hi,
When a police officer pull you over for a traffic violation, and you have a weapon in your trunk (lock, and unloaded), do you need to tell that officer that you have a weapon in your trunk?

Also, if I'm transport a shotgun that I've taken it apart (barrel separate from stock), do I need to have a lock on the chamber too?

    Thank you.

A trigger/chamber/cable lock has no value to add to legal transport, neither for handguns nor long guns.

A disassembled firearm is still a firearm.
