Appealing a Parking Ticket

Hi calguns LEO's. Quick question for you. So last night I went to a friends house for a 21st birthday but his city enforces overnight parking rules everyday of the week. Knowing this, I went to the PD station and got myself a parking permit. However this morning, I still had a ticket this morning and my first reaction was WTF. However, I soon realized that I had forgotten to write down my license plate number on my permit . Anyhow, does anyone know if there is a way i can appeal the ticket. I know that it was my responsibility, but I would still like to give it a shot. Any advice on how to do so is greatly appreciated. Thanks

There should be somewhere on the ticket, the appeal process. The other thing you could do, depending on the size of the Department, call the traffic division supervisor and speak to them. This was done where I worked and the supervisor would usually have you come into the Station with the permit and ticket and void the ticket.

If this was from a very large metro Department, you may have to go the appeal route.
