Congratulations! Watch the hands, watch who is around you, and watch your partners back. Dont take on too much debt, too many women, or too much alcohol and you will have a long career and a happy home life!

Don't do nothing stupid. If you have any doubts about whether it is the right thing to do, give it some serious thought before plunging in. One little thing can cost a whole career.

It was taught to us as the three B's....Bills, Booze and Broads!! Great advise and the very same thing I told my sons as they grew up.

They all will get your badge... but the broads will do it the fastest... booze eventually, and bills maybe... but be careful of the badge bunnies!

Congratulations on completing the first step of your career. The day I graduated the academy (Santa Rosa way back when) was the proudest day of my life. Now your real education will begin.

Keep your eyes and ears open, lean forward and enjoy the ride.

As a retired lieutenant, I feel a tinge of envy and jealousy reading your posts on starting out on the job. Best wishes for a long, safe, and satisfying career. Remember what is truly is important.
