Suggestions on what actions to take.

I live in Castaic. The house across the street from me, which is owned by an 85+ year old widow, has become a tweaker hangout. The homeowner's daughter and grand-daughter have moved in. The grand-daughter, while visiting her uncle in prison, hooked up with some inmate that had spent 20+ years locked up for "killin some people"(his words). The killer got released a few months ago and is now living in the grand mothers garage. There is now a group of guys spending a lot of time in the garage. The lights are on all night, they are in there banging around on stuff and coming and going randomly at all times of the night. There have now been a bunch of auto break-ins around the neighborhood. Last Friday, the 11th, as I was leaving for work at 3:30am the police were at the house, the "killer" was in the back of a cruiser and I overheard the officer talking about the needles and syringes they found in his possession. He was gone until yesterday, 16th. Now they are back up to their shenanigans again. This morning, 3:45am, they roll up in a little car with a lawnmower stuffed in the back seat. They jumped out of the car and dragged the mower into the garage then sped off. Some of the surrounding neighbors have mounted camera's so they can monitor what's going on on their property and at the house. What should we do? These people are trashing the house and obviously nobody wants their children subjected to their craziness.

Sorry for the long story, and thanks for any suggestions you can give us.

Call the LASD Sheriff's station that handles the area and ask to speak with the Watch Deputy. Explain the situation to that deputy. He/she may transfer you to the station narcotics detectives to handle or take the info for the area deputies to look into.

If he transfers you to narco and they aren't in, leave a msg. on their voice mail to contact you about a problem house. Advise them deputies have already been there at least once that you know of and made an arrest.

Also call code enforcement. They might be able to red tag the house do to safety violations.

When you speak to the Watch Commander emphasize that he may be on parole and ask that the Parole Compliance Team be notified which is now under LASD. It is a county wide unit.
