    Some people left my department to lateral over to Santa Ana PD. From what I've heard it is a well resourced, high morale department and the officers are well paid and happy to be there.

      +1 on Bobby's statements from the guys I know that work there or have worked there... it's hard to get in but it's a good place to be... just like Irvine and a few other OC places.

        They are hurting financially like most other cities though. Their city manager up and quit and last time I checked, the Chief was filling those shoes till a replacement is found. And, they got rid of the FD and contracted with OCFA for services saving them loads of cash, but the response sucks now.
