    Single Shot HK45

Hello, Im new to this forum and have a question for any LEO that would like to respond. I am looking into buying a HK45 though SSE. If i was to be pulled over or asked about my firearm (if i was to buy the HK45), would alarm bells sound off if the firearm was listed as a SSE firearm and the HK45 was "gun smithed" back to the factory spec's, which i understand is legal in CA. Im am finding that SSE are pretty popular down here in socal. My only isssue is i am a little nervous as to what would happen to me if the firearm was not physically a single shot anymore and i was stopped/pulled over. I guess thats if i was even asked if i have a firearm in the vehicle with me. Thank you for your time

If they run the gun, they are looking to see if it is stolen, and not much more. If it comes back with no wants and a DROS record in your name, that's pretty much it. As long as there are no other violations (loaded, concealed, etc) you're good to go.

If you are referring to trendar5's post, I'm pretty sure he was joking about giving you a lowball offer for the gun.
