    OCSD Written/Prebackground/PAT

Any tips? What am I to expect on the written and 100 question test. I heard all of it is pretty easy. I wasn't expecting to go through an obstacle course. I have been walking 30 minutes a day on my breaks at work and do 120 pushups a day with some situps mixed in. I hope I pass. Any tips on the PAT and exactly what its like?

This post isn't OCSD specific but should give you some idea.

Written test: grammar, vocabulary, map reading, math, spelling, reading comprehension
PAT: (super easy for me) dummy drag, 30 push ups, 30 sit ups, obstacle course, and 1 1/2 run

I remember when the P.A.T. was at the old academy... after you take the written test at O.A. Peters school.

But yeah... P.A.T. was pretty easy... I might add, you had to push a patrol car like 10 yards. Also you had to press the trigger of a dummy gun 10 times with each hand.

        Good Luck!!
