    Discounts for LEO's

While preparing for one of my Neighborhood Watch meetings, I thought it would be nice to have a pistol/handgun safe to show at my meetings. I was mostly unsuccessful talking any of the companies to kick one down, but one company (gunvaults) suggested that I would be able to buy one at a discounted rate thru a marketing website that they participate in. I entered my work information and was accepted the next day. There were over 170 brands to choose from and discounts of about 40% off retail on most.

Most of the retailers limit purchase for the user only, no purchases for family, friends, or resale and have limits on how many of each item you can buy and dollar limits also to help prevent abuse. Some of the participating companies include 5.11, Spyderco, Bushnell, and a bunch of bicycling stores.

Also, do not forget https://secure.usstandardissue.com/ for Oakley discounts.

I am not affiliated with either of these sites, just wanted to pass along a good deal if you qualify.

I have used the Oakley website several times with great results. Top notch. I have not heard of the promotive website before. I am curious to see if anyone else has used it before.

I use it all the time. They are for real. I got hooked up with it from the SHOT show two years ago. When you sign up, different groups can let you in and there are some great discounts in there. I think fenix lights are 40% off right now. Not too long ago, crimson trace was 50% off.

I've been using Promotive for over a year. Purchased about 1/2 dozen times from different vendors. Never an issue.

The Oakley site is awesome, they've replaced, free of charge, two sets of M-Frames that were trashed in wrestling matches with customers. Never used the Promotive site, that will change I think.

Might have to check it out, I was waiting for some feedback on Promotive.

Signed up. Got the LE team discount. Its more or less about what you can find price wise from the internet. Not any screaming deals that I found so far.

                  Discounts

I did some checking. Most of the prices I found were about 10% less than the lowest price I found on Amazon or Google shopping. I also compared some prices to dealer cost with the help of an FSO friend that also has a gun shop. The Crimson Trace stuff is quite a bit below dealer cost. On some of the lower end Bushnell stuff, it is higher than on the internet. So, just like Costco, you might get screaming deals on some things, but you still have to do your due diligence to make sure you cannot find the same item cheaper elsewhere.
