off duty holster

I am looking for an off duty holster for my Kel Tec PF9. I was thinking a IWB all leather with straps instead of a clip. Cost is not much of an issue but I would like to keep it under $75 if possible. I will admit I know very little about holsters and the only ones I own are serpa ones. I have done some research and am still pretty lost.

My first question is am I being too snobby on my requirements? I hear a lot of people talk about hybrid holsters but am skeptical of the kydex. It seems to me all leather would be more comfortable and durable. Also, the straps over the clip seems like it would help the holster stay in place better when drawing the gun.

Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you guys.

Check out Don Hume holsters. They make custom fit holsters for each gun, not a one size fits 5 gun holster. They have numerous IWB types. I don't like non-custom fit holsters.

DeSantis cozy buddy is a great $60 holster that has a strap (or clip optional) and thumb break which is required for some agencies even for off duty carry. I love it.

I use a Bianchi 100 IWB holster. I am right handed but use a left handed version on my gun side behind my back. It conceals super good in this manner even with t-shirts and I can still access it very easily. It also has a piece of leather that comes up to keep the gun from rubbing on your skin. I have gone through a lot of holsters and this one by far works the best for me in terms of comfort and concealment.

I highly recommend Crossbreed Super Tuck holters, they run about $80 but offer a LEO discount I believe it is 10%. I bought one for my 1911 and ended up buying one for my Glock and Springfield armory XD(M). They are the best inside the waist band holster I have ever bought. I have loaned them to a few of the guys who work for me and everyone who has tried it has ordered thier own.

I use a Galco S.O.B. (small of back) holster for my LC9. Hides well even under a tee shirt. I've heard some complain that it's uncomfortable when seated, but I don't find that to be the case at all. I've worn it daily for over a year now and hardly notice it's there.

Was running my Glock 36 in a Theis IWB. Which is a leather/kydex Crossbreed knock off.

I've had no issues with it. Wore it all summer long hiking etc.

I recently receieved (barely 2 week wait) my Dale Fricke Archangel AIWB and I am hooked on AIWB now.

Thanks for the input guys. I ended up going with a high noon super tuck after trying my buddies out. I will likely end up with more than one holster anyhow.

I carry a tuckable IWB JMG holster with my airweight. I really like it, though I got the very low rise model and it sits a bit low. Really conceals well though.
