I run a G21 with X200, never any issue with that combo.

My old agency had the same problem with Glock 22 & 23's, Gen 3's. We tried new followers, springs (mag and recoil) got new mags from Glock, and even got lights from Glock. All failed with weak and strong muscled people. We eventually dumped mounted lights on Glocks.Comment

This is a Gen 3 Glock 22, with a light on it. That is all anybody needs to know. This is a very well-documented problem. None of what you are saying is wrong, but it has all been ruled out by dozens of agencies.A couple of things I have seen on our range.
1. you could be limp wristing the gun.
2. Use adequate lube on your rails barrel etc.
3. Firing pin channel should be dry (no lube) with slide removed shake the upper slide and the firing pin should rattle back and fourth freely.
Most items I have seen were operator error on the Glocks or lack of maintenance.Comment

I am going through the same issue right now with my duty Glock 22 RTF (3rd gen). As soon as I attached a Steamlight TLR-1s to it, I experienced numerous FTF's. After a quick google search, I found out that I'm not the only one having this issue.Ok so I've been having an ongoing problem and I don't know what to do anymore. I've been having FTF's with my X300 attached to my duty Glock. Spoke to my range staff and they advised to change out the springs to my magazines (11 coil springs now) and I have. Ran the new springs this weekend at my local range and had the same problem after 5 or so shots. Easy answer I know would be to run my gun without the light, but I don't like that option much. Any suggestions?
I immediately called my regional Glock rep and was told that the angle of the old follower was the cause, when a rail mounted light is attached to the gun. His answer was to have my entire department switch to the new 4th gen magazines that have the 11 coil spring and #9 follower (I believe).
Once I received the new magazines, I swapped the old ones out and headed to the range to attempted to qualify with the new gen 4 magazines. However, I couldn't. I continued to have numerous FTFs. Our duty ammo is Winchester Ranger Series 180gr Sub-Sonic.
Due to Glock not being able to solve the problem adequately or give me a logically explanation on why this was happening to numerous gen 3 .40 cal Glock 22s (including my own), I decided to retire my department issued duty Glock.
I replaced it with my Sig P229, which works flawless with a rail mounted light attached. I'd rather have peace of mind and know my gun will function when needed, than assume.Comment
