    Non fixable fix-it ticket?

    Non fixable fix-it ticket?

Is it up to the officer on whether or not a ticket is fixable? I received a window tint ticket in my work truck. I fixed it paid the blood sucking Walnut police department 15$ to sign it off. Mailed the ticket in and received a letter saying the officer marked it non fixable. I don't really want to drag my butt all the way to LA court to have the judge say you're SOL pay the 169$. So did he miss mark the ticket and the court is to stupid to see that with out me wasting my time, or am I boned cause some other a##hat put tint on a work truck window?

    Thanks

Careful you may end up testifying in court against your employer for not fixing the vehicle. What happens is the state is in need of money so a lot of stuff is being scrutinized very carefully. Someone probably looked over your ticket and decided that a tinted window can and by law should be fixed. Get your lazy employer to make the vehicle safe.

Let's see.....you got a ticket for an equipment violation you freely admit was legitimate, then you insult the law enforcement agency that issued your certificate of correction, and you call the court names.

All of this in the law enforcement forum.

I suggest you read the rules before you come trolling.

Ultimately its up to the judge. Fine money will not help the state budget, it doesn't have anything to do with quotas or money. Its a procedural issue. The judge can make it a "fix-it." The clerk can't.

At the risk of being exposed to more Attitude... If the tint was on a work truck - truck is NOT yours, registered to/owned by the company you work for - why are YOU handling this? Give the ticket to your boss's secretary and have them take care of it. Unless there is more to the story...

Actually tint is not supposed to be correctable anymore. Most officers either don't know this or make it correctable to give people a break. Furthermore most judges/commissioners don't know this either.

Wow this is not the forum for a rant on the police.

                Closed and good luck.
