Fighting or attacking suspect inside the court

This question is especially for Deputies since they work inside the court. I have seen few videos from youtube about victims family members attacking suspect during the court hearing. Especially involving murder and rape case.

Do they get charge with battery or assault afterwards?
    Thank you

Depending on the situation, yes. Other related charges could be,resisting arrest, interfering with peace officer, contempt of court, disturbing the peace and those are just from the top of my head.

The meth addict who murdered someone who hadn't been convicted of a crime?
Your definition of a 'hero' is different than mine.

I was the supervisor at several courts and any time someone assaulted someone inside the courtroom they were charged for their actions.
