Barrel length is 16-in you are GTG...

...and if you are respectful and do not have a bunch of contraband on you, most LEs who read on CG will want to know the spec.s on your build!

I don't think you'll be hassled. Asked about your build, maybe... but not hassled.
I'm retired. That's right, retired. I don't want to hear about the cop who stopped you today or how you didn't think you should get a ticket. That just makes me grumpy!

Most guys measuring the barrel length include the flash hider anyway, because they don't know it isn't part of the overall barrel length.

As long as you aren't a dirtbag/gangster, or start asking the idiotic/annoying question "Am I being detained?" you'll be fine. At worst, your rifle is gonna be fondled, groped, and drooled all over.

The Bushmaster barrels I have are 14.5 with Izzy compensators attached. Meets ATF regs.

No issues. I assume you are purchasing it retail. If not, make sure you attach it according to ATF standards of permanence and measurement.

You think you know, but you have no idea.
