    Background Check

    Dear members,
I forgot to mention my part time job I had when I was 16 and 17 years old in my background employment check list. I am 28 years old now and turning 29 in couple months. Will this effect my background process?
    Thank you very much
I just noticed this couple days ago while I was filling out for OCSD background package and I already turned in my packet 3 months ago to LASD.

When your BI for LASD contacts you, mention it, and any other items you may have forgotten, to them and, depending on the context of separation, it may prove to be less than critical.

From this point on, however, you must remember to list it in any subsequent applications/personal history questionnaires.

Recollection several years back (>10+) can get the best of us. I totally forgot the name of the store I did a smash-n-grab at when I was 15. I just told my BI I did so many of them I lost count. Problem solved!

    I keeed, I keeed!

    Good luck!

Thank you for your help.. I just forgot about it and I did nothing bad while I was working there during my high school years.

OP, I had applied to 10 different agencies over a 2yr. period and accidently left some of them off the list. When my B.I. came to my house, he asked me which agencies I had applied for and I told him what I recalled.

When he asked about a couple I had forgotten to mention, I honestly told him I had just plain forgot and he accepted that. BTW, that was a LASD B.I. and as you may know, I spent a few years working for them.

I would suggest you contact your B.I. and advise him of the that and I would think you would be good to go.
