civil service commission hearing

I represented some cops over the years as a union rep at hearings. We usually won or at least had a draw, as we tended to have evidence on our side. Alot of alleged misconduct or unjustified discipline is based on politics, public opinion, organizational manipulation or exploitation, "squeaking wheel" syndrome, etc.
If an accused officer is facing an appeal, presumably he/she has already gone through some of the disciplinary process steps already and lost. Hopefully the accused officer has good representation. My association has used union "house" lawyers, LDF contracted lawyers and sometimes at the lower levels union reps. We even had a union rep / officer who was a practicing lawyer on the side ... he was a killer during contract negotiations.
If the OP has any specific questions, feel free to post or PM me for OPSEC.Comment
