Oral Interview with Torrance PD Jailer

JAILER.

I have a interview lined up for Torrance PD Jailer. Can anyone give me any heads up on how this process goes?

I plan on going in a suite,giving eye contact and firm hand shakes but any other information would be great. I get nervous just thinking about it.

My main goal is to eventually become a police officer, Should I let them know that? or will it hurt me chances of becoming a jailer?

If they ask your 3-5 year goals I would be up front with them about wanting to be LEO. It gives them an idea that you are a motivated individual with aspirations and not someone just looking for a pay check.

I agree. Be sure to lean forward, and pause to think about your answers. Don't just start talking about the first thing that comes to your mind and try to talk through it. They want thorough well thought out answers. Good luck.
