    BOP hiring process

So I just failed my Oral Board for Border Patrol went "rambo". Any BOP officers here? If so, what's the hiring process like? I can't seem to find any info on it.

I think you answered your own question, but it doesn't make much sense, so I'm not sure. If you answered questions like you type, that would explain things a little.

Don't use acronyms or abbreviations that are not standard, such as a state abbreviation like CA or AZ. One can only guess what you mean by BOP,as there are several things it could be, such as Bureau of Prisons, Board of Parole, etc. Spell things out, especially in an interview. Going "Rambo" in any interview will get you a failing score. If you come across as an urban ninja or commando, you're done.

Did you do the video based interview for Boarder Patrol.? I have one coming up for Customs, and Im testing with BP this week.
What do you mean by going 'rambo', like during a situational question?

It's not video based for Border Patrol, you sit in front of 3 agents who are taking notes the whole time you're talking and one of them is a supervisory agent. I can't give out specific details about the questions, but yes I went rambo during the scenarios and turned into a liability.

I meant Bureau of Prisons. I applied for the Correctional Officer position. Thank you for the advice.

I would think that your failed interview will follow you and you will be asked to explain why you received the DQ.. You might be in a deep piles of feces!!

I felt that I went pretty rambo and yet I passed. Could be due to being able to justify every action I took.

Well, if you know where you went wrong, what is your question? The interview/hiring process is no time to be a "Billy Bad@se." It's all about showing your future employer how intelligent you are and how much of an asset to the Bureau/Dept. you will be.
