Please relay a "great job!" to him and his partner! Nice to see a positive story once in awhile too!

Sounds like he did a good job.

Great job. Would I be correct to presume he was the one who did the CPR. If you don't want to say which one is your cousin, that is fine.

I still recall every one of the 11 people I did it to and I left patrol in 1997. One was an adult, the rest babies and toddlers. Only the adult and one toddler survived.

The cousin in your victim's incident was lucky as I recall one of our instructors telling us in a class, that cpr was only 40% effective, even if you saw the person collapse right in front of you. I don't know if that has changed in the years since that was told us, but it is a sobering statistic.

I'm sure you are proud of your cousin.

Ya survival is low... I've done it three times... 0-3. Response time was the main factor. Each time it was minimum 10 minutes before I, or anyone, was on scene.

Very well done... please extend thanks and congratulations. I was 1-2 on three career tries and the only guy I "brought back" turned out to be a multiple offense 290 registrant.

                  Go figure.
