    Search light

    Question for you guys,

Last week I was driving home and came to an intersection. I had a green arrow to make the left turn as I was approaching.

Across the intersection waiting to go straight was a police car. As I was making the turn he flashed the side of my truck with his search light. I have been trying to figure out why he would do that, I checked my head lights and tail lights just to see if that was why but both work and I was going well below the speed limit as I was making a turn not going straight.

    So any thought on why?

    Thanks

I do it to see if it's the color truck I'm looking for. Sometimes folks will call in a certain style "pickup" or "<insert any color> truck." Hard to see at night. Couldn't tell ya what they were thinking. It's just what I do.

Check color, check tint, see LP to run it, see if light works, accidentally bumped it, etc

He's on to you... best to make a run for it now.

Seriously though, what they already said. Could just be looking for someone that wasn't you.

Also, checks to see who the driver is. Checking to see if you're a tweaker or not could be only one example. I know, I known now there's going to be a bunch of people here flying off the handle saying that flashing a light in someone's face is "not right." etc.... There's "what's right" and then there is "reality." I'm not taking one side over the other, I'm just say'n...... That's how it is sometimes.
